@emmamingfuller: Ep.1 | Living Adopted Intro 🇨🇳| a series about what adoption really feels like as a young adult. The identity questions. The self-love journey. The eating struggles. The grief that shows up in random places. And the gratitude too. This is me being honest about how it still shows up in my life in hard ways and in beautiful ones. I hope someone feels less alone. And I hope it’s healing for me too. ♥️ #adoption #adoptionjourney #onechildpolicy #asianamerican #livingadopted
Hey girl! You probably wasn’t abandoned in a basket. This is a false narrative orphanages give. Most baby girls were trafficked

Adoption is so complex and it can take years and decades to realize the impact it has on you. I hope you have a great community of both adoptees and non-adoptee friends and family who support you. What ever emotions you feel are valid and real. No one can tell you that you are wrong. Take your time and I wish you the best as you dive into this complex journey.

Very exciting! My sister was born in China and I was born in Guatemala. We both talk about how loved we are and how it wasn’t a major thing growing up, but now as adults it’s hard to not notice all the things that comes with adoption, ie all the things you talked about. So happy you’re starting this!✨

Also an adoptee from China! I’m still navigating parts of my identity and how it has affected who I am as an adult. It’s really interesting hearing other adoptees perspectives
