I used work at the Palmer House. amazing building: opened before the great fire, resurrected after bc potter palmer wanted to make it a token of love for his new bride. first elevator and indoor electricity in the Midwest. lido lippi restored the Sistine chapel and then the PH ceiling.

Correction, Chicago's oldest house was built in 1833, and is now the Norwood Park Historical Society.
