good point, but how about the incentives for the opposite side, to say that AI can't cut it , even though it did a goal bladder removal surgeries successfully and scored 93% in the STEP exams and did a no comparison AI-doctor diagnosing sim 8 to 2 out of 10 and AI is just getting started it seems 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️but hey just a point, i really don't know

As someone who works as a professional software engineer, AI really is the world-changing technology it’s being hyped up as. Maybe it’s not that impressive when AI writes a generic bland essay, but when you see with your own eyes that it can do complex work you realize you’re dealing with a different beast from anything that came before. For now it depends on what work you get it to do, where I see it most clearly in software development, but I can totally see it changing other fields, even if it’s not that consistent or viable for now. As much marketing around AI that exists now, I still don’t think people realize what’s coming in the next few years if the programming world is any indication

Thank you!! Tired of all the phony hype that everyone is buying into. I think AI will eventually be used widely like the internet but the idea that it’s going to replace all human jobs is nonsense (especially doctors/healthcare providers). Akin to how people in the 60s thought we’d all be in flying cars by now

100% agreed. That’s how they raise money. I’ve heard AI is closer to internet than atomic bomb in terms of scale/ impact of innovation. Which now the late 90s in terms of 🫧 behavior lol

That’s why they’re pushing it so hard in the medical system because HOSPITAL administrators are thinking the same way. It’s push push push with not much consideration on how it’ll affect patients, drs, nurses or even other short snd long term consequences. There are no guardrails in place - nothing. It’s all about money, profit, control, and surveillance.

Everything feels this way right now. Like a pyramid scheme or the horror movie it follows. People are desperately trying to convince you the market is good, crypto is good, AI is taking off etc
