Strong core = easier daily tasks 🔥 Adding these exercises into my routine has noticeably increased my core strength! Sit-ups and crunches are some common exercises for abs, but doing these exercises that can improve core strength and posture! They can be done at home or in the gym, are beginner friendly and are a nice alternative to plank-type exercises if you have sensitive wrists. The main muscles these workouts target are the abs and obliques but they also use many other muscles in the body like the shoulders, biceps, triceps, and hips! Exercise 1 - Kettlebell Around the Worlds Benefits: Can improve hand-eye coordination Notes: Aim to keep your spine straight and try to keep the arms straight so they’re not doing the work to move the kettlebell (I keep my elbows slightly bent because my elbows sometimes hyperextend since I’m hypermobile) Exercise 2 - Kettlebell Marches Benefits: Helps the core learn to stabilize while the limbs move and help improve balance. Exercise 3 - Pallof Press Benefits: Trains your body to resist rotation Notes: If you workout at a gym you can use a cable instead of a resistance band. When doing these exercises I have a few suggestions: 1. Use a lighter weight when you first do the exercise so you can focus on keeping the spine straight 2. Whether you’re doing a split body routine or a full body routine, start the workout with one core exercise (after your warm up) so that you’re preparing the core muscles to handle the load of the following #coreexercises #homeworkouts #workoutmotivation #workouttips #beginnerworkouttips #strengthtrainingforbeginners
