when I was younger I genuinely convinced myself that my stuffed animals were my family, and my dad was the big bear so that he could hug me, I still had my real family but I wanted these ones too so I felt like they loved me like some people in my family didnt, I would talk to these certain 4 stuffed animals and in my head I genuinely thought they were my family. later on I also convinced myself I was the sister of a character from a show and I was supposed to be in that universe and I was taken away and forced to hide who I really am, I couldn't deal with reality and thought I had to be a whole different person to be happy. another time I convinced myself and all my friends we were these magical creatures and I was the most powerful not because of a childish want to be the leader, but because I thought the only way to get their attention was to be the important one, I was always left out and it hurt. but yeah I convinced them of that and made a whole story line and genuinely believed it myself, the worst part is I wasn't even that young for the 2nd and 3rd, the 2nd was from ages 10-12 and the third was from 10-11. I couldn't get out of my own head, and even now because of all that I don't feel like anything is real and I don't feel human

I literally live in a false world and am constantly caught in it i feel so gross about it because i just pretend this one celebrity is my mom in my head most likely because i had a terrible mom i hate it I’ve always made my fantasy’s around fake characters but when my mind makes a fantasy and links on to it i cant let go until I find something more comforting or interesting i honestly never thought about how consuming up my maladaptive day dreaming is until now and its so scary for me
