Dogs don't think in "im old now i miss my youth now i can't play". They actually tend to sometimes play for short bursts and just walk away when tired. Older dogs enjoy being the calm authority in the group, watching instead of participating, short sessions of play and calmer interactions with younger dogs. Most important to them is actually their owner's attention. As long as u don't ignore him, stop training him etc, he will be confident and enjoy seeing the younger dogs play. Dogs don't live in the past much. They are more momentary beings. So they don't think in terms of age, but energy. He will play for the amount of energy he has and then walk away which will make him happy. Hope that helps😁

While i was 8 my dad was dying with cancer and i got a puppy and now shes almost 8 herself its so sad to not see her running about with my younger self she cant jump on the sofa without her back legs falling anymore

ну чего вы тут все распереживались, носики насупились? я уверен, что собачке хоть и немножко грустненько что он не играет со своими друзьями, но зато уверен, что его друзьяшки не стали любить его меньше! собачка живёт хорошую жизнь, в тепле, в уюте, с вкусненькой едой, и он радуется жизни не как молоденький, а как старенький песик, и может быть это совсем немного грустно, но я уверен, что его любят все так же сильно, как и тогда, когда он был молодой, и что ему не над чем плакать, потому что с ним рядом есть его друзья!
