reusing leaves is actually totally fine and normal! teabags are different because they're so finely ground that it all infuses the first time, but the traditional chinese way to drink tea is to re infuse the leaves a bunch of times

Glo I feel like you’d appreciate Mate. It’s green tea leaves in a cup, your straw has holes in it to drink liquid but obvi not the leaves. You put water in the cup, drink, refill as needed. It’s South American! (Specifically Argentina/brazil)

if you want a stronger flavor, you’re right to go with more tea. the longer you steep black tea, the more bitter it becomes.

I worked for Teavana for many years- you can absolutely reuse your leaves! The caffeine will just be depleted after the first steep
