I do this with my gravel bike as well. The question is, can you actually pull the same distances with a mountain bike that you can with a gravel bike in one ride? I’ve done 40-50km rides like this (with short connecting dirt roads to access the trails) on my gravel bike, never had a thought to go mtb but when I ask about distance I’m told and I’ve read that you can’t do the same distances ….. what’s true?
