i had my first patient my age this week and cried every night after my shift. i’m so sorry and it’s so unfair. i hope you get better and just know we care and think about you all the time 💗

I take care of my patients same age or younger like they’re my little sister/brother and i find caring for these patients soo special and i try my best to make them feel comfortable and safe as that is what i wanted as a patient 💗🥺

girl I’m 26 with a baby, married and been self employed for 7 years. My dream was to be a nurse but my anxiety meant I never went to my exams. I’m now studying nursing. you have your whole life ahead of you, it will work out I promise you ❤️

I had to give up my med school dream. I’m studying biomedical lab science now and finding peace with it and I know it’s an EXTREME privilege that I got my health back to be able to study at all. But I will never stop thinking about what could have been. I will never forget that version of me

It took me 7 years to qualify as a nurse almost because I have my own challenges and honestly I wish I had waited until I had more life experience and started in my 30s. You always have time honestly I know 55-year-olds starting their nursing now. life has a weird way of not letting you have things until you’re ready. I didn’t believe this until I qualified 💕
