If you are in a city, a kei car is perfect. If you want to do any truck stuff while avoiding the interstates, maybe even highways, get a kei truck. I wouldn’t take any of them onto the interstate and I would try to avoid highways if at all possible. I think the kei vehicles would be able to handle 55 mph though. They top out around 60-65 mph, so honestly if you can find roads that have a maximum of 45 mph, these would do great.

Cars and trucks should be taxed on weight and risk. For example, you drive a heavy lifted truck you pay extra for the damage it will cause to roads and to the cars and pedestrians that are impacted when you hit them because you have reduced visibility.

These are what city drivers need. The ones of us that don’t usually do long drives or highways and everything I go to is within 2-3 miles of my house. 🤣 I want a tiny suv version that is higher off the ground. And a small tow package for a little food cart trailer. 🤣🤣
