What auto makers try to save in carbon emissions goes right back into polluting the environment as scrap parts and busted vehicles as well as extra manufacturing pollution for replacement parts

This is so true when you never go past 3000rpm, and never pull any weight.
All you need is a small trailer with 750-1000kg weight, get the car nice and warm, and do some nice hills. That EGR will be cleaner than new, and back down you'll get that shine off the brakediscs too. Make sure the brakes work as they should.

I always use the more expensive diesel which has added cleaners to help reduce this, cheap supermarket diesel will clog your engine faster.

356k kilometers on my 2.0tdi still on factory egr, dpf, injectors, etc. Just dont do short trips only and when warmed up, drive it like you mean it every so often. It will run like a champ

that's why clutch dumping every once in a while isn't a bad thing it clears all the carbon and suit out of your motor

EGR delete and if required programmed out. I done every car I had diesel wise and none failed MOT on emissions, also car runs better, mpg with blanks in on one car dropped about 2mpg but all the others it got better up to 7mpg more on the Mondeo tdci.

All EGS should be easily accesable so they can be regularly serviced.

If u use diesel for short drives then yes it does kill your performance. If u use diesel engines as they’re ment to be used (long 60+km rides with propper warm up then nothing to worry about
