The centre of mass is located in the middle of the stick. which means the centre of mass of the stick is initially lower than the centre of gravity of the ball.
So when starting the motion, the yardstick is closer to the ground than the ball.

Intuitively i would say that it’s the center of mass that accelerates at 9.8m/s². The side against the wall stays in place, the other end is on the other side of the center of mass, so it must fall faster (or rather accelerate faster)

Gravity pulls harder on the object with the greater mass. So the ball is lighter and gets pulled less than the stick with the holder.

I guess because the stick is pivoting about one edge following an circolar trajectory, so moving away from the pivot the tangential speed will increase proportionally. The center of gravity is placed mid way and it drops following the gravity criteria with an acceleration equal to g. The other extremity is the farest point following an circolar trajectory with the highest tangential speed.

I don't think is moving faster, I think both objects want to fall at the same speed, but when released the ball is floating on a cup shape that is being moved horizontally to the right, adding a force to the ball while it is falling along the slope of the cup shape, so it seems like it falls slower when is just being pushed and rolled outside

That’s easy. The leverage of the stick accelerates the speed of the end point to balance the stick’s motion thus making the tape move faster.

Inertia. When the stick drops, its tip accelerates away and the support force on the ball and goes to 0. With nothing holding it up, the ball enters free fall. Since it starts almost motionless, it looks like it hovers briefly and lags behind due to inertia. The stick isn’t falling faster, the support force from the stick drops to 0 and that inertial difference while minuscule does take time (enough for the stick to appear to drop faster) when in reality they fall at the same speed. The delay is caused by inertia.

the linear acceleration in the y direction at any point along the lever is proportional to its distance from the pivot, so at the start of the stick it accelerates less than g, the middle of the stick accelerates at g, and the end of the stick accelerates at 2g. Ball accelerates at g.

Because there is a fulcrum , in this case , the end of the board, the end of the long board can actually move faster than gravity on the ball. This phenomenon is not particularly intuitive but it is easier to explain if the pivot point was slightly before the end of the board in which case there would be a very lob-sided seesaw. The short end moving up would move slowly and the long end moving down would move faster the 2 opposite forces would equal the gravity applied to the ball.

The ball has more impetus and there is less mass per area in the stick. The force of gravity is more on the stick. Newton's law says a body will remain in a state of equilibrium until a force is applied to it. There is less force per area on the ball so the stick gets pulled down quicker.

the vertical componant of the stick acts on its center of gravity which is lower than the ball, both fall at same rate (vertically) the balls center of gravity is higher and has to travel further so hits the ground later than the cog of stick plus the end of stick as it accelerates faster due to the extra distance on the radius, so covers the distance of the radian in the same time.

The ball accelerates downward because of gravity. The stick does too, but it can’t go straight down, so you split the force into vectors and you see it speeds up more

My guess is that distance that the stick has to fall is its average radian. So somewhere in the middle, which is shorter than the straight falling distance of the ball.
