Passengers in Florida do not have to provide ID unless the officer has RAS that they have committed an infraction or a crime. Example not wearing a seat belt. The officer absolutely lied. He’s just fishing and hoping that he has a warrant. Passengers are not free to leave but they don’t have to provide ID unless they choose to.

In Fl. As a passenger you’re not required to produce an ID . Even if you’re detained unless you’re under the suspicion of committing a crime.traffic stop is not a crime.

He’s not required to ID himself without RAS of a crime. Johnson v Nocco just granted the cops qualified immunity by the 11th Circuit. They violated his 4th Amendment. They escalated and extended the traffic stop because he asserted his 4A.
