music has and will always be like built upon influences. Artists have been influenced ,sometimes even unknowingly, by all sorts of songs around the world in different styles. It is inevitable for there to be hints of their favs in their art. SOME artists are able to create their own original sound but that is a very small minority, most new gen rappers, pop singers etc are inspired by the og sounds of those before them. This occurs in any genre of music. You see it not only in kpop but also in western media. Ex: Cochise and carti. The issue is when people don’t give credit and don’t show appreciation. But that is NOT the case for cortis as they have multiple times stated their inspos.
