I unfortunately worked at Starbucks for 9 years. I quit 2 years ago. I have so many horror stories about working there. I wish people would stop supporting them. Customers are so fucking entitled bc Starbucks lets them be. And the managers - every single last one of them suck ASS. I haven’t met a single kind Starbucks manager. They all are corporate robots that crumble under their district managers authority. It’s so pitiful.

I really see the despise against the union as ignorance. As a manager in Sweden i like the union. It gives a more clear way to communicate changes in the work environment and expectations of annual raises. It gives a way for employees to raise awareness of issues before they become a real problem and if they do you have an actual representative to speak to. It just make things so much easier as long as you take your responsibility as a company and plan properly which you need a union for to do.

Good luck. Most comoanies need to be shhooottt in the foot. Including the Starbucks CEO who wastes jet fuel just flying up and down the west coast several times a week. They higher drug addicts at the warehouse. And they treat temp works like SHIT and fire them as if they arent even people, but treat partners... well slightly better. Pretend to be mentally unwell, they will give you employee of the months and never fire you even if you dont work at all.
