I had a pregnant customer scream at me about something similar. We were SLAMMED. She had ordered a side of fries which I had to enter after her order. Then someone took my order of fries before I could get to them because there were many side orders of fries. I explained and apologized to her, asked if she wanted me to get a manager so they could comp the meal. She kept insisting I forgot her fries on purpose and was lying to her. I kept trying to apologize and her family was like “she’s pregnant, she’s just uncomfortable right now” as though that was an excuse for her berating me. I took the fries off the bill, but gave her the fries when they were ready. She didn’t eat the fries and left me a penny tip. And she kept trying to imply it was because I was racist…. I’m sorry we were slammed and someone grabbed the extra order by mistake! I tried to do everything I could to rectify the situation. Why would I just target a customer like that and make my life a living hell when it already was because it was a Friday night slam? So anyways. She was one of many reasons I’m no longer a server. My anxiety was through the roof. It was like the more I apologized, the angrier she got.

it happens the same to me in a call center, after I have done everything to resolve a customer's problem I still get those that say I haven't done anything and that they will give me a bad score 😞
