I fry and fold the tortillas, then take them out of the oil, and THEN add the filling after I take then out and drain the oil.

I cook all the shells first and drain them on paper towels and then we fill them. They are less greasy that way. This is how I grew eating tacos in the 70s.

you need to add potatoes to the meat, fry the shell separate and let them drain for a few minutes. then add the meat. put some cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, sour cream and what ever salsa you like. Mexican hard tacos. you're welcome. 🥰

I tried that, but they were too greasy. I didn’t like it like that. I’m gonna attempt to do it in the oven like somebody else posted one time and hope for the best.

Tacos Dorados (golden tacos/fried tacos/hard-shelled tacos) originated in Sinaloa, Mexico in the 1890s. Popular in California and Texas by the 1940s. Growing up we loved tacos dorados de papa. (Fried tacos filled with left-over mashed potatoes and cheese). 😋
