“But I passed Haneda & Narita!” Actually you experienced less scrutiny in these two airports because the workers are super busy and overwhelmed. It is less crowded in Nagoya Airport and the workers pay more attention to you.

with recent incident with powerbank the rules following just become stricter it's not just Nagoya but many airports in all over the world is adapting to this the rules regarding the powerbank exist beforehand though

I’m sorry to hear about your experience, that really sucked! 🥲 I usually don’t have any issues flying internationally & domestically inside Japan before.. But I’ll be flying domestically too between Itami and Haneda in the near future and now hearing this makes me worry 🫣🫣

There is a restriction on the wattage that the power bank puts out. Technically it is the same on US carriers but TSA don’t care.

There’s a size restriction. One I had was “too big” but the other was not. In Narita. Flew to Japan with it.
