@drtoddstrong: Your doctor said neuropathy is irreversible. That's only true after 18-24 months of untreated nerve damage. Before that, you can reverse it. Here's the timeline you need to know.Nerves can regenerate at a rate of 1mm per day if you give them what they need. But after 18-24 months of damage, the nerve cell body dies and regeneration becomes impossible. Here's what happens during the 18-month reversal window:Months 0-6: The Golden Window. Your nerve fibers are damaged but the cell bodies are alive. This is 80-90% reversible with aggressive intervention. Address blood sugar, circulation, nutrients, and gut health NOW.Months 6-12: The Critical Period. Nerve cell bodies are starting to die. You're 50-70% reversible. You need professional help—not just supplements. Medical-grade therapies, strict blood sugar control, and comprehensive protocols are essential.Months 12-18: The Final Chance. Significant nerve cell death has occurred. You're maybe 30-40% reversible. Every week matters. This is your last opportunity to save function before permanent disability.Months 18-24: The Point of No Return. Most nerve cell bodies are dead. Less than 20% reversible. You're in damage control mode—preventing further loss, not reversing what's gone. After 24 Months: Permanent Damage. Nerve cells are dead and cannot regenerate. Irreversible. This is where 'incurable' becomes reality. Don't let it get here.If you're within the first 12 months, you have real hope for significant reversal. But you must act with urgency—every month you wait, you lose more nerves permanently.Calculate how long you've had symptoms. If you're under 12 months, address all root causes immediately—blood sugar, circulation, gut, nutrients. If you're 12-18 months, get professional help today. After 18 months, focus on preventing progression. How long have you had neuropathy symptoms? I've had peripheral neuropathy for 20 years. If I had to guess, I'm almost into my 4th stage. It's so bad now that I'm losing my motor nerves. My writing is getting poor and I can't hold a spoon or fork right anymore.

I have tried to get help but all the Drs do is give drugs and never address root causes. I would love to hear from anybody about how to actually diagnose and address root causes.

Min neurologist told me with small fiber neuropathy that he couldn’t really tell me what was causing it and that there was pretty much nothing they could do for it other than gabapentin and I refuse to take that medication

Most Dr.’s know little about SFN. We tried everything we could even Cleveland Clinic. 4 neurologists, 3 neurosurgeons - tons of bloodwork including the Washington panel-and no answers. If you can’t find the cause it’s impossible to treat. 5 years and still suffering and no treatment options. So frustrating. His started a week after the booster…😑
