@planetdetroitnews: A judge orders DTE Energy and its subsidiary EES Coke Battery to pay a $100 million civil penalty over sulfur dioxide emissions from Zug Island. The utility must comply with the Clean Air Act — plus fund $20 million in community air quality projects. More updates to come.
Is anything in place to prevent them from passing the cost onto consumers?

My DTE bill is $800 a month the past year. This is only going to make it higher. We need politicians that are willing to take on DTE and prevent them from raising rates every damn year.

Thanks for sharing and keeping us updated. Hopefully Dte doesn’t push some of that on us people.

Great News! Although a “win”, I can’t help but think who’s going to pay even more than the human toll… could it be us in our bills? There are no real repercussions unfortunately, if there’s no Civil Suits or prison for negligence. We just pay, pay, pay.
