@delnette: Last week, I saw a man embarrassed at the cashier—his debit card declined, his shoulders heavy. In that moment, I chose compassion over convenience. I paid for his goods. Not for praise, but because kindness costs less than regret. We rise by lifting others. Small love. Big impact. Always choose compassion. #kindness #compassion #smalllove #bigimpact #helpfulness
I won $43000 at a casino and on way home stopped for gas and a lady in front of me was putting $2 in gas in change I told her to keep it and filled her tank and gave her $200 cash she cried and said her husband had passed away 4 month prior and she didn't have any spare money for gas

I’ve never been asked to pay for someone’s groceries. I have offered to cover the shortage Or picked up the total if it didn’t look excessive.

I have never been asked, but have offered. The most memorable for me was a young mother with 3 kids - approx 10, 5, and 3. You was digging thru her purse and found $10 and sent the oldest up to pay. It was the day before Thanksgiving and gas was $4/gallon. I told the cashier not to take the money. I walked over and asked if i could pay for her gas. She was so thankful. I swiped my card, told her to fill it up, gave her a hug, and went home. Still one of my most favorite things i’ve done! ❤️

As a cashier in a grocery store BEWARE!! A lot of people just do this to get over on other people!! We have had to trespass people from our store for continuously taking advantage of good meaning people

I have paid for others. I would not do it if asked, though. There are so many dishonest people out there. I would assume I was being scammed.

I was not asked but I stepped in when the lady in front of me had trouble with her card. Later I snooped and looked at what she bought ( through my WalMart app). I was so humbled. Mostly all store brand soup and cheap bread, nothing extravagant.

No but I’ve paid for people who are elderly that didn’t have enough change. The gratitude in their eyes makes me want to cry because GOD has blessed me with so much.

I have never been asked. I have covered several times when the person in front of me fell short and was asking the cashier to reverse items from their total

No one has ever asked me but I have stepped up multiple times. I’m ashamed to say sometimes it was because I was in a hurry and they were just digging around for change too long lol

I’ve paid for an obviously homeless man who was trying to pay for some food at a grocery store with a library card or something. People shouldn’t go hungry. And don’t get me started on school lunches. End rant.

I paid for am elderly man's groceries on Veteran's Day. He had to be in his 80s and had his uniform on. It was nice to be able to do this. Less than $40, so not very much

I offered to help a family that was short on money. As I walked out I watched them put cash into a lotto ticket machine. 😳 Not sure what to think about that but I was sad.

Don't reward this behavior. They planned on having someone else pay for them.
