@rochellekingandrews: Coming back after injury isn’t about bravery. It’s about safety. Greg’s advice was simple: choose a horse you trust. Not the most talented one. The one that lets your nervous system breathe. After surgery or injury, it’s rarely the horse you fear. It’s the memory of pain. The loss of independence. The thought of not being able to do what you love. So you go slowly. You walk. You sit. You let your body remember it is safe. One small step forward. One quiet ride at a time. Some people need one ride. Some need ten. Some need longer. There is no timeline. Only honesty. Confidence isn’t forced. It’s rebuilt. Learn with us at King Andrews Rider Training website. I’m so happy you’re back riding and enjoying it. I wanted to respectfully ask why you opt for no helmet?

How do you go about mounting and dismounting? My mum has had 3 hip replacements (one side twice, other side once) she really would love to ride but really worries about getting on and off

Thanks for this! I’m having major surgery in April (having my first rib removed and all my scalene muscles on my left side cut out) and would love to get back riding eventually! My horse is out on lease while I’m injured but I’m hoping to be back in the saddle one day ❤️

Both hips done and back in the saddle this quick is really impressive. I hope all continues to go smoothly 🥰🥰 Can’t wait to see Greg’s new saddle when he gets it 😉😁💕 I’ve only ridden western once, but omg they’re like armchairs compared to dressage saddles 😍😍

take it easy is the key, we dont bounce as well as we once did, and nothing is as flexible as it once was,,i shouldn't talk tho as I only lasted 2 weeks from open heart/stroke surgery before i had to have a sit on my mare again ,,,,,nice to see your back in the saddle Greg 👍

I had heart surgery 18 months ago and haven’t ridden for 2 years. I really hope I can get back into it soon.

I’ve had both hips replaced too and then a broken femur repair. It does take some time to get back in the saddle. Taking your time is important.
