These are specialty vehicles that are hard to get allocated at a dealership. Most dealers have to meet certain criteria ie selling a certain amount of vehicles in months prior to get these types of vehicles allocated. So they usually lose lots of money on deals in the months prior to hit that bar. Market adjustments are a way to try and make some back. But mostly, market adjustments are due to some rich guy who’s willing to outbid people for it, setting a new value for it. People should be upset with the rich guy who’s willing to pay those market adjustments, setting the new value, instead of the dealer. Also Baffles me how people seem to not consider what they would do in those situations as a seller. If you bought a tv for 100$ and then someone offered to buy it from you for 500$ and another offered you 1000$ for it, would you take the 500$ because it’s closer to what you paid for it?

As someone who tries to help out the consumer, why aren’t you calling these dealerships out?? If you call them out they will stop overcharging and scamming us for these cars. Am I wrong? Genuine question

I know in US cars are cheap but man, never heard of anyone charging over msrp in EU, it is actually the opposite. You come in and they give you discount from MSRP in most cases.
