@stari._.ari: Me and @Lia Linpkins Best in show skit at Katsucon 2026 featuring Retry Now by Nakiso, eng cover by Shuu Sakurai. Me and Lia put so much work into this skit, literal blood sweat and tears 😭 LITERALLY!!! Having to adapt when things didn’t go as planned and working on our cosplays down to the literal wire. We are so happy a relived all our hard work paid off and I was able to bring my vision to reality. Last year at this very convention, I performed solo as Keira from princess and the popstar. This was around just two weeks after my mom had passed away due to stage 4 ovarian cancer. I didn’t get to practice much but I still went on stage a tried my best bc that’s what she would’ve wanted me to do. I messed up a couple things and didn’t end up winning anything and I felt like I failed her. She’s always been my number 1 supporter when I came to cosplay, watching a cheering me on at every performance she could. Always ecstatic when I’d be up on stage no matter how well I actually did. To be able to come back and win, not just any award but best in show? I felt like I made her so so proud. And I could feel her happiness for me and Lia. Just like she always used to be for me and any of my friends accomplishments.
