Hi I'm Dr Strydom, and today we are discussing safety of botulinum t@xin injections. Medical grade botulinum toxin is not t@xic! It uses a highly purified, extremely diluted form of the t@xin, and when injected it is injected straight into the muscle in tiny doses. Rare complications that have occurred were usually linked to counterfeit products, off-label use or non medical providers. (For example in 2023 in Europe, a number of people got sick secondary to botulinum toxin injections for obesity that was clearly off label.) In South Africa  you have to be registered with the HPCSA as a medical doctor to legally buy and administer these products. Essentially all these factors are giving this neuromodulator a bad name in the aesthetic industry. Have you seen or heard of any counterfeit products?
