You poor love. He has a sleep association with breastfeeding. You’re doing the right thing. You can’t go on like this. Get a good nights sleep tonight and I hope it works well.

I usually suggest night weaning at 10m minimum, closer to 12-18m is the easier road. Best of luck! There’s always something that can be adjusted to help with sleep 💕💤

My son is the exact same 🫠 we tried all methods to get him to sleep better and nothing worked long term. However recently a method stuck and he’s been sleeping well ever since 🥳🫶🏻

Went from breast feeding and cosleeping. So at 8 months I decided that’s it. So little sleep for the both of us. Now she’s on formula and sleeps 6-6! 9 months old

We were in the same spot at 10 months. I really really feel for you. You aren't a failure. You're a good mum. Every baby is SO different. My guy is now 18 months and sleeps through inconsistently. Which, as you know, any stretch longer than 3 hours is a damn blessing. I refused to "sleep train", just didn't sit right with me. You do what works for you and your family 💕

My son was exactly the same! The first year of his life waking every 45mins to 1 hour. He is a sensitive kid, very dependent on me to help regulate. Refused a bottle, refused anyone else putting him to sleep. We had one failed attempt at night weaning. Then when we got it he did start sleeping better (3 wakes) now at almost 3 he still often wakes once a night sometimes twice but also sleeps through a bit. It does get better!! Hang in there. They do sleep eventually get it even if you do nothing. It’s all temperament, my second is so different already. Sending love, I know how hard it is to be sleep deprived. You’re doing amazing!

My son had this. Just needed the comfort of boob. My dad did the calming method when he woke he would tap the mattress I can’t recall what it was called but it took 3 nights of my dad doing this and then he slept through! fingers crossed for you!💜🥰

You are so resilient. Can not advocate enough for a sleep consultant. Not the cry it out type but a needs based consultant. Sometimes we are so tired and in the trenches we don’t see the way forward. You are doing great

We moved our fresh 12 month old into his own room (had always co-slept and used breastfeeding to resettle / resleep). My husband and I slept on the floor next to my bubbas new bed (montessori floor bed) for about a 2 weeks mainly patting and singing for resettling - but no breastfeeding. By 13 months he slept through the night and was in a good routine! Every baby is different, and you’re doing a great job 🤍🤍🤍

My son was exactly the same! He turns 2 next month and he only started sleeping better when I weaned him off the boob (At 21 months). I vividly remember there being a really rough sleep phase from 9-11 months and then it calming down again. My son still hasn’t slept through the night ever but he only wakes once a night now!! THERE IS HOPE! You got this mama xx

It’s hard Mumma my girls were both the same and i had to do the same thing your doing! when i did sleep next to them i put bandaids on after the last feed and showed them and said sore/broken. I also wore a sports bra and tight tshirt with a high neck so i couldn’t breastfeed half in my sleep, as that’s where i was at 😅 you have this, for me it switched from boob to some cuddles until they eventually slept through ❤️
