this is absolutely stunning work! a suggestion for making it look more lifelike when performing, slightly bend and then extend your knees to help give it 'breath'. nothing that is alive stays perfectly still, even when they're just standing there. even just very slight up and down movement suggests breathing to the audience, which then gives a more lifelike performance! check out the Joey puppets from the stage play Warhorse, I believe they have some videos talking about how their puppeteers give Joey breath to bring him to life.
