@iamprestonluke: Skin Removal Diaries: Part 4 12 days post op. The swelling is still very real. My midsection feels tight and tender, especially around the waist and lower stomach. Certain spots feel almost numb while others are super sensitive. The drains are still in, which means I’m still moving carefully and tracking output every day. They’re annoying, but they’re part of why healing is going smoothly. Seeing the incisions without compression is a mix of proud and overwhelmed. It’s not the final result. It’s bruised, swollen, stitched, and very much in progress. But after losing 250+ pounds and going through skin removal surgery, this is the rebuild season. One day at a time.
