With limited time I think Zion is the best choice here, you can stay in the nearby city La Verkin that’s about 30 minutes away from the park with very cheap hotels/airbnbs. The closest airport is also close. I don’t think Zion is expensive at all although it may be crowded during May, you should try for early May right before the peak szn! Sequoia is also a good choice but the logistics of driving to and from the park (2 hours) can be annoying depending on where you stay and the closest airport is also 2+ hours away. Anyway Zion is the best choice here don’t listen to anybody else (Zion is one of my fav parks)

If you love Yosemite, you'll love Sequoia🥹 almost similar but at least itll be a new experience!

go to sequoia! skip kings canyon and hold it for another trip since you have limited time. there are a ton of campgrounds in the park or just outside in the national forest

Ive been to all of the national parks you’re trying to choose from and my best recommendation would be to knock out pinnacles and sequoia! I’m assuming you’re about a 2hr drive or a little more from the bay to pinnacles and from pinnacles to sequoia is about q 3hrs drive or a little more, I would definitely look into it!

Omg we spontaneously added pinnacles to our trip and it was such a pleasant surprise I loved exploring those trails!!
