Wow, the day that Rev. King was assassinated they were supposed to go to dinner later and Rev. Jackson was not wearing a tie. Jackson said King asked him "Where's your tie"?

Wow! The tie reference— On April 3, 1968, the night before his assassination, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. teased Rev. Jesse Jackson about his casual attire at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee. As the group prepared to go to dinner, King noticed Jackson was not wearing a tie and admonished him for not being dressed suitably. Jackson jokingly retorted, "Doc, the prerequisite for eating is an appetite, not a tie" Spot on, spot on, spot on! My God!

WOW!!! The second peek with King. I know that they were friends during the civil rights movement until Kings death I think Jessee was ready. Sorely missed but he was ready. So nice the friends are together again. 🫶🤍🕊️
