Being on mobile bar has you working like a fucking machine. It’s nonstop and it feels like you aren’t making a single dent(which you aren’t bc people keep ordering). Also, at my store mobile bar ALSO makes the cafe drinks too, so god forbid an entire family comes in during peak at the same time someone ordered coffee for the entire office.

This is in a perfect world where you have one person per station. This is best case scenario. Usually register is doing warming, and mobile bar is doing cold bar. We hardly ever have that may partners.

12 year partner here and when I hear someone say “it’s just coffee…” I literally boil over with rage 😅 the other day I was doing SEVEN things at once and had to sit down bc I was so dizzy. Oh and I wasn’t moving fast enough… sooo

its even worse now that nearly every drink has cold foam and with all the changes to make drinks customizable (chai and matcha require classic now by standard, refreshers will soon require green tea extract pumps by standard)

we are so understaffed so we have a mobile (mobile orders,doordash and ect) and then drive bar for drive thru and if there are any cold bar drinks you just make it where they stay going to either mobile or drive

they don't understand, when I'm solo bar at my store I get drive through, cafe, mobile, and doordash at the same time. 80% of the time we 3-4 people in the store at all times past 12pm
