I had a date once where I was really nervous. I had to chose between being vulnerable or wearing my mask. I told him "I'm really nervous, can I ask you to hug me for a minute?" . he melted. and so did I. I was able to regulate and we continued the night beautifully.

Yes. I had to have the difficult vulnerable talk with him after 3 months. And it was the best thing i’ve ever done, it helps us both to navigate through the beginning of this journey. Just state your position and ask them to meet you where you’re at and then watch their behaviour!
