apartments used to be affordable housing, often used to save up to purchase a home - now they're made out of hopes and dreams, half of the more modern apartments don't even have central air, the other half doesn't have a laundry room, barely any utilities included if any at all, maintenance is around less than some people's father's, and they still want you to pay 3k.

at 55k, making 3x rent puts me at 1400. In central FL thats just non-existent to live alone if I want a reasonable commute AND my animals. Never late on rent once, but its frustrating making a respectable salary and you can barely afford life. So many more efficient systems we can use instead.
