I have my own theory what if an alternate rick sent that grenade into the past to that rick to correct the future of ricks meaning if his wife and original summer survived we wouldn't of had the rick that we know with the portal gun because that was made after his loss then that would explain why he hates the council of ricks hes using the gun to jump timelines to get back to the real summer and his wife but the council always gets involved when he gets close to discovering a way to save them
