It is what it is, these things happen. Hopefully when the weather gets warmer, neighbors will be spending more time outside and another opportunity to meet will occur and perceptions will change.

at this point you have to sell the house, fake your deaths, move, and hire a PI to track them forever so you can't possibly run into them by accident in the future. 😂😂😂

If it’s still with you all these months later consider writing him a note apologizing for not being your best self at your first meeting and explain that you keep thinking about it and you just want to reach out and apologize one more time and offer an olive branch. Leave it on their porch with some flowers or a snack basket. Even if they don’t acknowledge it you’ll know you’ve done what you can to try and make amends. I’ve done similar and it does help it feel a little lighter when I think about it.
