@epicuriousexpeditions: Maggie Ruth’s Butter Roll Crust 2 1/2 cups flour 3/4 tsp salt 2 tbs sugar 1 cup (2 sticks) frozen unsalted butter, shredded 1/2 cup cold water Filling 1/2 cup sugar 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter, softened Sauce 1 can sweetened condensed milk 1/2 cup evaporated milk 1 tbs vanilla Topping 1/4 cup sugar 1/4 tsp cinnamon 1/8 tsp nutmeg Mix flour, salt, and sugar. Mix in butter until all pieces of butter are covered in flour. Add in cold water. Mix until combined. Dough may be a little crumbly, but that’s ok. Refrigerate dough for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 350. Roll out dough on floured work surface to about 1/4” thick. Maintain a rectangle shape. Cover the dough in butter and sugar. Cut the dough to form logs that will fit your baking pan. Envelope fold each piece in thirds and transfer to buttered baking dish. Whisk together sweetened condensed and evaporated milks with the vanilla. Pour over the butter rolls until just covered. Mix sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Sprinkle mixture over the top. Bake butter rolls at 350F for 45 minutes or until golden and bubbly and pie crust is cooked through. It is normal for milk bubble over the butter rolls.
