I'm doing the theory test on Monday (23rd) I don't have a public service card, I was told to get the MyGovID app and log in. But it won't let me get near the login on the app but will allow me login through the website on Google... will that do for when I go to get my learners permit or am I slow? Someone help pls 😭

Ugh I had this same issue and almost had to pay twice! You dont need a public service card, you can make an appointment online and go in person. Yes, phone bill works but it HAS to be paper unfortunately so make sure you have it printed out. I had the same thing where I had mine online and they literally told me I had to have a physical copy! Get the eye test done within a month of your appointment to the ndls. I’m pretty sure the opticians has to fill out a form (theres info on the eye test on the ndls website). Then proof of id can be your passport. They take your picture there too. Hope that helps!

If you get my gov account and go into get the public service card if you’re Irish and havé Irish passport and your address is the same as that one you don’t need proof of address

If you go to school you can get them to give you a letter with your name n address for proof, or just print out your phone bill, you can get your learner permit by actually going to the ndls with passport n that way you can do it without a public service card but have to make sure to bring the address proof, site test and your pps number with you

sign up for my gov account they will send you a public service card when you create the account. you can also ask your school for a proof of address letter by email

You can apply for the public services card on the mygovid app, and for me I was able to just select my proof of address by my gov app when going into the NDLS website, just basically log in using the my gov app account and it’s super easy. You need an eye test done tho it’ll ask you to upload a picture of it.

I had the exact same problem with the proof of address cause I didn’t have a bank account at the time, showed up to the center without one but they told me to just ask my school, my school gave me a letter and that worked perfectly fine! i don’t think the phone bill will work

You can book the psc online using your gov id, and I think on your my gov you may be able to request a proof of address just from them alone, then again I have revenue so I could be wrong

i got my proof of adress from school set up my gov w that and applied for my psc online and then do your eyetest and you can apply for lerners permit online w that psc and eyetest sheet
