I'm plus size. I was pregnant when I got married. I was so traumatized by how I was treated at the dress store. the consultant was so rude, ignored me because she was still helping the people before me. I found a dress i love but it was just a little too small so I asked her if it came in a larger size. she gave me a look, snortily told it was the largest they make and that I was "supposed" to lose weight. the manager chased me through the parking lot because I was sobbing

I paid $1800 for my dress including alterations, and I had them completely change the style of sleeve on the dress, I cannot fathom shopping at a store like kleinfelds and paying that much money for A DRESS

Omg. Rule of thumb is always get the size you are when you are trying them on. Maybe a size smaller but even then you can’t do that.

I remember being fitted for a bridesmaid dress and it was too small and the shop owner said I must have gained weight but I was actually 3lbs lighter than when she took my measurements 🙃

I was over 340lbs in 2005 when I was “shopping” ! I went to THE 3 Shops that said they carried “LARGER SIZES”. I ended up buying a $50 dress off JcPenny. Had someone add beading I bought. It was the best I could do b/c in the 1 year I had to find a dress….i bought 6 off E-bay & non worked…. In the end…..this was the best I Could Do!
