I used to get in extra trouble when I was a kid for asking “do you have to talk to me like that?” Seemed like a fair question to ask to me 🤷🏾♂️😅

I think it’s because it was what they were taught..what they picked up from being the only parent in the home(survival mode)…hearing the phrase “ woman can’t teach a boy how to be a man,” which is true especially if she hasn’t been shown that…most of us did what we knew and probably what we thought was best especially with sons so they wouldn’t get out of line with us..but little did we know that we were inflicting more passed down trauma!!!
