Professor here. AI is making it impossible for us to know if students are doing their own work. I have stopped assigning papers, and all writing is done in class with a pen or pencil. 🤷♀️

I’m a professor and while I can commiserate with his AI frustration, his approach was inappropriate … He should know that. And he should have asked you to make an appointment. If you feel this was misconduct, speak to his department chair.

Does your college not use the program called Turnitin? At the last two colleges I worked at (after a career in higher education), professors used Turnitin to detect use of AI in students’ papers. Your school should have access to software like this…

Im in a Masters program at a university and the university uses AI because its part of learning but we are encouraged to use it but use our own words as you did. Dont worry, your going to be ok.

Immediately go to your department that oversees the professor and area of study. Ask to speak with the department explaining what happened and file a complaint. That professor is not allowed to do that.
