@calmmoneycoach: Your RRSP has a tipping point. Most people wait until 72 to find out. This is one strategy to get ahead of it using leverage and the Canadian dividend tax credit. Borrow to invest, deduct the interest against your RRSP meltdown, and earn dividends at 11% effective tax vs 43%+ on forced withdrawals. This is NOT for everyone. TFSA maxed. No consumer debt. Comfortable with leverage. Watch the full breakdown. Educational content only. Not personalized advice. Talk to a qualified professional. #RRSP #RetirementPlanning
There’s a very different way of looking at this give up your Canadian residency to a country that has a tax treaty with Canada be out of Canada completely no subscriptions no memberships. You’re gone after two years. You could pull all the money out with 25% with holding tax. You do the rest of the work.

I’m trying to understand how the borrowed $200k helps? I know it’s tax deductible, but aren’t you spending $1 to save 46cents?

I love this.
Would it make sense to start this earlier? Have 1.5 mil in RSP at 45. Worried it's a ticking bomb.

how did you arrive at the $200k number for investment loan against a $1.8M portfolio? was there some formula or did you just randomly pick it.

@60 1mill in rrsp. I assume this strategy is for retirees. So between 60 and 72 you need to live off off your rrsp, so how does it grow to 1.8?

Have you sold options in the past? I’d benefit from some content about the wheel strategy (which accounts to do it in, how to pick stocks, strikes, DTE) if your familiar on the topic 🙌 love your stuff super helpful
