On what planet is AI comparable to a forklift? The truck is designed for one specific task - shifting heavy things from one place to another. AI is something that can be applied across multiple domains and, if we are to believe its backers, will soon be ‘agentic’ - requiring minimal supervision by humans and operating on an initial mandate. When the interviewer suggests that we won’t be giving forklifts access to our bank accounts, the whole point is that’s exactly what we *will* do with AI.

I would like videos that really show how AI can be so confidently wrong, and what sort of questions they can ask of them - my family ask them questions all the time about everything. Medical questions, interpreting blood results, financial advice, etc. I don’t want to be the negative one by saying that all of these are bad ideas.

I can recommend the book 'AI Snake Oil'. It warns specifically about the dangers of using AI for predicting the future. Some health insurance companies do this, e.g., with devastating consequences. Same for officials who use AI for deciding on paroles, etc.
