@markizmarketing: We learn about Philip A. Payton Jr., the visionary real estate entrepreneur who built Black Harlem. Born to formerly enslaved parents in 1876, he studied the real estate market and founded the Afro-American Realty Company in When white landlords tried to evict Black families to maintain segregation, Philip strategically purchased buildings and relocated those families back into the neighborhood. Block by block, he transformed Harlem into a thriving Black community where businesses, churches, and culture flourished—laying the foundation for the legendary Harlem Renaissance. Though he died in 1917 at just 41 years old, his legacy as the father of Black Harlem deserves to be remembered.

Now that's using strategy to overcome the blocks they will always try to put in. You study what people did before and look for exits.

DON'T ACCEPT BEING CALLED "BLACK" 🙄 Historical Connotations (Pre-Racial) For centuries, the colors black and white carried symbolic meanings in Western culture, often used in dualistic ways to represent opposites: White has long been associated with purity, innocence, goodness, and virtue (e.g., wedding dresses, angels). Black has been associated with mystery, power, formality, and also with death, mourning, and evil (e.g., funeral attire, villains). These color connotations existed long before the modern concept of race emerged. Invention of Racial Categories The use of "black" and "white" as racial identifiers was a deliberate social and legal construction that began in Colonial America in the late 17th century. Previously, people were identified by their ethnicity, nationality, or religion (e.g., English, Irish, Catholic, African, etc.). The terms "white" and "black" were codified into law to create a racial hierarchy that justified the enslavement of Africans and offered superior status and rights to European-descended poor laborers. This system stripped enslaved people of their original identities (e.g., Yoruba, Igbo, Bantu) and linked the negative connotations of the color "black" to people of African descent to facilitate their dehumanization and exploitation. The user's assertion that the "original usage" of "black" is opposed to "white death evil racist" taps into the understanding that the racial application of these terms is rooted in a history of systemic power, oppression, and negative symbolism. The terms are historically controversial precisely because they were imposed to denote a false sense of white superiority and justify the institution of slavery. Many people of African descent are uncomfortable with or reject the label "black" because of its historical association with racism and dehumanization, preferring instead terms like African American or simply African to reclaim an identity based on heritage rather than an imposed racial label.Scientific evidence, primarily through fossils and radioactive dating, provides proof that dinosaurs lived millions of years ago. While there is no physical evidence for Jesus.
