animals weren't talking but I think humans in our original glorious form had ways of communicating with them. we could perceive their thoughts and communicate our thoughts to them too. Some kind of telepathy. We lost that ability after the fall alongsides other super abilities too.

The problem is the lack of biblical principles. In Genesis Moses uses Creation to communicate. He was writing to his immediate audience accomdating their mental capacity so he'd use such language,I mean we see that many times the Israel were dull in mind no matter how much Moses and Joshua spoke to them,so he catered for their minds using creation thus the usage of Serpent rather than Satan,Tree of life instead of Christ/life of God etc
