This is a fantastic way to release fascial restrictions and stubborn tension in the back of the neck. It can help with neck stiffness, tension headaches, brain fog, and facial puffiness by improving circulation and supporting lymphatic drainage. I usually start with a few simple grab-and-pull fascial releases at the base of the skull and down the neck and then use my finger and thumb to grab and lift the tissue away from neck then use my thumb to roll through the tissue that I've grabbed. The thumb isn't digging in to the neck, it's rolling through the tissue that I've picked up. I alternate the hands so that I can roll in both directions. Just a minute or so every day can really help reduce headaches, puffiness, and under-eye bags. Perfect for neck tension from too much time in front of a screen.
