@catherinedevine.zagorski: What about the women with internalized misogyny, who wreak havoc on other women, simply by their influential presence (mothers and MIL) - if these women would be truthful about why they are enmeshed with their sons (their marriage was neglectful and lonely), they could stop causing the same pain upon other women. The issue isn’t just the abusive men, or the men who enable those men… it’s also the women who are pick me girls, who turn on other women simply to get the approval of men. They enable the system to continue. The male loneliness epidemic seems to be overlapping with the adult kids going no contact with parents who refuse to grow or accept accountability - these men are lonely due to their refusal to change and those same issues are reflected in these elder parents who victimize themselves compared to their own children. #womensupportingwomen #narcissisticabuse #devouringmother #pickmegirl #patriarchyproblems
