The vibe is definitely a 10/10 but I feel like every restaurant by the beach is a tourist trap. Puerto Vallarta has incredible food if you venture away from the beachside.

Those look like fancy tacos. Probably good, no doubt. But a real taco is something you find on a street corner in Puerto Vallarta, standing up, surrounded by locals, with grease on your fingers and zero pretension. If we’re talking about the real deal, some of the best tacos in town are at Pancho’s Tacos. No hype, no staging, just flavor and tradition. That’s what tacos are supposed to be.

It’s great food, but I didn’t love that the vendors will still come up to you if you’re closest to shoreline.
