It should have been complety free. Our health insurance is becoming a joke. I pay every month so no co pay or 'eigen risico ' needed

How many appointments did you need for your huisarts to refer you for treatment? I've asked for skin cancer screening (its hereditary on both sides) 6 times and have been told "do not ask me this again"

I had a way different experience. My partner had a heart surgery in Amsterdam and they let me stay with him even the first night. Visiting hours were from 11am until 9pm and if you wanted you could stay longer. We also got back with uber because he should’ve been walking a lot. He didn’t pay also anything extra

Limburg visiting hours were more relaxed. It depends on the ward/nurses. Extremely caring.

Visitor hours is not so strict when you’ve got a very serious problem. My brother (heart issues) we can visit 24/7.

You can get the crutches in a specialized store, if you cannot rent them because you have a lower income they will give them to you for a the time you need. Biking to the hospital was you choice and the visits hours is just because you where ok. If was serious they let a loved one even to stay sleeping with you if they have in a private room.
