@itsjadawest: Every black woman is not a mother figure or a caregiver and I want us to stop believing that that’s who we have to be in order to help people. Whether you realize it or not positioning yourself in that way comes with certain expectations and when you don’t meet those expectations, people lose trust in you and it impacts your reputation negatively. This is the part of branding that I wish people paid more attention to and why authenticity matters, but even more so understanding yourself well enough to express it in a way that is clearly communicated to your audience. ##antm##tyrabanks##realitycheck##documentary
