I had a tubal ligation 6 months ago after the birth of my twins, but I'm still terrified thinking what if they didn't take them and I get pregnant again 😂

I just had my 3rd c section with tubal 8 days ago and oof but in the midst i smelt the burning of whatever they did behind the curtains something i will never get out of my head and i cried at that piece of womanhood i felt i took from myself, even though medically i wasn’t even supposed to have more than 2

Our birth stories are very similar! The doctor asked in the OR after 2 kids was I sure. My ovaries hurt for MONTHS! A friend told me hers did too. It was awful!

I recently learned most “ovarian” cancer is actually in the tubes. The tubes don’t have the same cells that the ovaries have to combat the cancer cells and it just smoulders in the tubes. Crazy! I’m looking to get my tubes out at my next endometriosis excision.

It took me about two years for my hormones to fully level (35 when removed) but they did and I am so happy I did it!

i’m pregnant with #2 and really don’t want anymore. do you have an opinion on what’s better for you? having them tied or removed? i’ve heard you can start early menopause or need hormone therapy! i’m terrified of that but 110% don’t want anymore kids!

We love a queen with an open dialogue about women’s health ✨ I made the decision to remove my whole uterus at my first OB appointment with my fourth child and my doc talked me down to just removing my tubes 4mo post partum. I had some adverse symptoms for about a year before everything went back to normal! 🙌🏻

I went and had the surgery to have my tubes removed after my son was born. Recovery was a breeze. No restrictions. Some discomfort the first day but otherwise I could carry on with my normal everyday life!

Biggest complaint women have with removing tubes is heavier periods and many say more intense cramping. My periods are already way too heavy….my mom had her tubes removed when she do a c section and it made her periods even worse. They didn’t know back then that it was a side effect from a tubal. I think if mine got heavier id need transfusions 🤣 I’m glad it didn’t make your recovery noticeably harder.

Thank you for sharing! I’m about to be 45 & when I had my second via c-section (first was vaginal) they asked about my tubes & I couldn’t do it yet. I still want one more but I know how risky it is at my age for myself & the baby. 😫
